Hi,
I'll be in Chicago in September and I'd like to do some photography of the city by night. I found an interesting spot near the University of Illinois-Chicago. I noticed a parking lot at the intersection of S Morgan Street and W Congress parkway that would be very convenient. Is it restricted regarding the hours and the people who are allowed to park there? I don't see any gate.

That is UIC Lot 9A. Like all UIC lots it controlled. The entrance gate is near 511 S. Morgan. You can see the card machines and security hut in google street view. There is no on-street parking allowed on Morgan either...

You can park on taylor street, between Racine and Morgan I believe.

Thank you all for those answers. Helps a lot!
The rates for the UIC parking lots are given for Mon-Fri 8am-3pm. And it seems that access is still allowed after 3pm. It says « Mon-Fri in after 3pm out by 8am ». But it's hard to understand who's allowed after 3pm and if the same rates apply.
Basically I'm looking for either a parking space on the street or a parking lot where I could park for an hour or two around 7pm. I think they will be enough options.
