We are relocating to Aurora. After doing some on-line search, I've found the schools to be great in Geneva and St. Charles. Plainfield also had good rankings. We like several homes in the Geneva/St. Charles area, bu it looks like you get more home for your money in Plainfield. I'd like some input on these areas! Thanks!

Plainfield is riddled with foreclosures. You can get a ton of house for the money, but i've got a feeling it's eventually going to take a dive like neighboring romeoville and joliet. It's also not close to any train service and a haul to get downtown. Geneva and st charles are both great established cities, nice downtowns, high ranking schools, and tons of history. If the train is a concern geneva would be the choice but you'd have to get out there and check it out for yourself. Also give the search on this site a shot, there are many topics on those cities.

I'm in Churchill Club in Oswego (pool/ and clubhouse community) and we like it. They are still building here.. I prefer Oswego over Plainfield and would never buy in Aurora. (No, not even North Auroa). Naperville, Geneva, St. Charles are all very nice also.
