Like the Suburban and Yukons from the 1990's from early to late, the ones from the late late 1990's to mid 2000's or the ones from the mid to late 2000s?

Its the early 90's from those choices. Late 80's even better.

GM started monkeying around with the Burb in the late 90's. For example, they replaced the old lever to shirt into 4WD with a button and a bunch of servo motors. Need I say that was pretty stupid? Susie soccer mom wanted a button so she got one.

Google the term "passlock" and you will see yet another late 90's GM debacle.

I'd go with a 2001+ Tahoe/Suburban, since that is when they changed the body style. The 5.3L is a great motor, been around for a long time. The body style was changed again in 2007.

One thing GM does right is build great SUVs and trucks.

I'd personally go for a 2007+ GMC Yukon with the 6.2L that produces over 400HP.

What do you mean by better? If you want a very simple to work on truck that is done depreciating, anything from about 1965 to 1972 would fill the bill. Lord knows you can modify these to do whatever you want to do.

For styling, personally, I like the early 50's Suburban. But the 65 model ain't bad either, I see one around here that has 2 doors on the passenger's side, like a 4-door, but only a driver's side door on the left side of the truck, plus of course the 2 "barn" doors in the back. Different.

I have a 98 chevy ext cab 4x4
There is not much that ever goes wrong with these trucks other than the intake gasket.
The 350 vortec is a great engine I get 15mpg in town or pulling my 19.5` ranger boat, 20mpg on the hwy.
This one I've had for 2.5 years and bought it as a one owner trade in with 90,000 miles it has everything but the third door. The push button 4x4 has never gave me any problem
In 2001 I bought a 1998 just like the one I have now it was a lease return with 36,000 miles
Between those two trucks I had a
Pathfinder
2002 dode ram 4x4
2001 s10 4x4
2007 Toyota Tacoma bought new
My 98 chevy trucks do what I need a truck to do better than any others I've found or had with the same or better mpg and better performance
I hope the one I have now lasts a long time because I dont want to go through another 4 or 5 trucks to find another that works best for me.
