Thanks for the replies everyone...What if I would just pick up some service job (I worked at Chipotle while in College, so I am sure I could get that job again real quick) and then just use that for my employment until I find another better job?
I don't have an "ego" because of my college degree..I will work anywhere I can (Chipotle pays like 10-11 an hour, so it's not good, but not awful either) until I pick up a better job related to my degree.
I have no debt and no kids/pets (through I do really want to get a Dog some day!) and if I find a studio in the 700-900$ range I should be able to afford it easily...In West Ashley/Goose Creek there seems to be a decent amount of rentals in that price range so it should work...
Picking up a "services job" might work if you found a place that you liked and they demanded employment. Still, you can find something without a job and if you're willing to spend $900, you can probably find something on James Island. Just let them know you have no problem with 1st and last month's rent and security deposit. Look on Craigslist but be aware of scams. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
Here's one that might work and it's on Folly Beach! (don't expect too much for this price...) Apartment

That's probably one of the best deals I've seen in a while.

Haha cut me some slack it's finals week!....I've gotten a combined total of about 10 hours of sleep for the entire week. It's starting to take it's toll on my mind!
I've worked at Chipotle since Freshman year of College, so I'm sure I could get hired again real quick if I wanted to, but obviously that's not the desired job that I am looking for.

By the way, I just re-read through my posts and I said "service" job....not "services" job. No dumb grammar mistake on my part!
No, it was my mistake. I'm not real familiar with the term "service job" and I just mis-quoted you. Low on sleep here too!
It's all good and my grammar kind of sucks anyway, so I believed you (business major). I never figured I would live right on the beach, but for 700 per month....damn I might reconsider!
Folly Beach looks awesome...I will look more into it.
Is the West Ashley area a good place to live? I've heard it's the place to be if you want to live close by, but without the higher expenses of downtown Charleston....What about the nearby Goose Creek area?
If you've got good credit and 1st & last month's rent, I think you'll be fine. The lady that previously occupied my condo, she was a widow & stay at home mom, plus she was new to the area. She told me that she didn't "look good on paper" but had plenty of funds so she volunteered to double her security deposit and got the condo. This is a property management group (but owner had final say).
I've only had a credit card for like 7 months and I have paid all my bills on time, so I don't see why I would have a problem there. I should be fine on credit.
I will probably just offer to pay the first 3-6 months rent or something like that and print out bank records to show I have the funds...I'm glad you can do this because I'm not sure you can in the DC Northern Virginia area...I have heard that they are very reluctant in renting to people without a job lined up.
