seems like they are being pretty secretative about this town center. I googled it and I didn't get anything other than a mention of it on this website back in 2008.
i've always been surprised summerville doesn't have a lot more restaurants than it does.
In that location, I was told a Marriot and some businesses are going there but no mention of what. I can see it being a town center style becaust that's the new thing. I guess I was talking about this one East Edisto – Sustainable Towns and Villages but it's not technically Eummerville from what I understand, I hope that area they are working on over by I 26will be a town center with the same concept with restaurants and bars, something that will bring some more nightlife to Summerville.
It's funny how many people never go beyond the overpass on 17A Every day people come into my son's store and can't believe that they have been only a few miles away and driving 'all the way to Mt. Pleasant'. They say, "We never drive over to this side."
What concerns me is that the traffic is already congested there NOW...and they're adding so many new businesses, offices, and neighborhoods?
Its not a small town. Its actually rather large and spread out.
I have to admit being guilty of not crossing over 17A, much either. Then my wife showed me how easy Royle rd. gets me over there.
If I could I think I would go to Madra Rua daily.
