I'm sure Nellie had a good reason for doing that......

1. She was sampling each cookie to make sure they were ok for her humans to eat.

2. She was testing the containers for security. They failed.

3. She was putting out bait for the resident mouse.

4. She was bored.



Whatever the reason, she's cute enough to get away with it.

Many, many years ago we bought three dozen chocolate chip muffins to give out as Christmas gifts. We left them out overnight, still wrapped up nicely in the shrink wrapped store containers.



Got up in the morning...and every single muffin had a perfect bite out of the top. Nic, who was usually a perfect gentleman and the most well-behaved cat I ever had was sitting there looking innocent with crumbs in his whiskers. That was the one and only time I ever knew him to get up on the counters. I still wonder if they added fish oil to those muffins. Just to be safe I called the emergency vet, but Nic was just fine. He didn't even have the decency to get a tummy ache.
