Coughing on a Plane..... Walking Dead Fears??????

Hi All,
I recently flew home from a trip to see my brand new granddaughter, it was awesome to see such a precious baby that looks like my son. Touched my heart.........
Anyway!
I went to the airport early in St. Louis and then had a layover in Charlotte... before catching my flight home to Tampa.
I love people watching at the airport.... there is nothing more entertaining and blog worthy than the people around me.
First of all... unless you are flying Southwest Airlines....... we all have ASSIGNED SEATS! No need to push ahead of others....... the plane won't leave without you... in your seat.. belted and your carry on safely stowed at your feet or in the overhead bin above you.
People that feel they are too important to check their bags..... and take on more than the allowable carry on... take up more space than they need too in the overheads... and pretend not to see when the 90 year old woman is trying to put her 1 bag away.... seriously people... where is your compassion.
Airline travel used to be such a treat! People would dress up... airlines would serve real lunches... or dinners.... on trays... and cocktails were not $5.00 each. Now, it seems it is the ultimate upgrade to a Grey Hound Bus!
If you are lucky... with a little pat down for your send off. LOL
But, I digress......
Airline travel is a breeding ground for germs... and illness prevails!
I make sure to carry on and utilize my hand gel... often! The recycled air always gives me concern when I hear someone sneezing on the plane... I just think to myself.... here it comes, I am going to get sick.
This last flight......... made me think of the Walking Dead!! If you saw the Fear the Walking Dead....... it all started on an airplane.... with a cough.
A gentleman was coughing as if a lung was coming up...... and I could only think to myself... this is how it all ends!

I'm actually taking fewer flights these days. You'd think that, with technological advances on planes, that they'd come up with better protection when someone around you isn't well.
Not forsaking flights entirely, but doing a little more driving or letting someone else drive.Posted 05-21-2017 at 03:16 PM by Gurn350 -
