11 year wedding anniversary

Posted 02-16-2009 at 11:59 PM by PastorBill

My wife & I just celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary on 02/13. I cannot believe how fast the 11 years went by. Eleven years later, 2 kids later, many moves later, and we are still very much in love. Our marriage is a testament to how great marriage can be when a couple allows God to be the center of everything. The past 11 years has not been perfect by any stretch of the imagination. We have had our trials and struggles just like everybody else, but we have learned to look past the imperfect parts and noticed the great parts, at the same time working on our imperfections. This year we did not have a whole lot of money to do a big anniversary because a lot of our money is tied up in saving for our move to Pueblo, CO, but we did get away for a few nights. We rented a hotel for 2 days, went to a movie, out to eat, and bowling just the 2 of us. We had a great time. One thing I have learned through the past 11 years is to keep things simple and prefer my wife above myself. She is not just my wife (queen), mother of my children, helper, but I realize that she is the daughter of the King of Kings. God bless you all and I hope you enjoy your marriage. If you are having marital problems, you need to invest more into your marriage.

Thats nice , most marriages don't last 11 days let alone 11 years, looks like you and your wife will withstand the test of time.

Thank the LORD that you have been Blessed so much, in so little time! I too have been blessed for 30 years of marriage to the same wonderful woman. Though, it hasnt been a bed of roses for us, it has gotten better with time, and we love each other more now, than when before!

I found your site by going through lots of sites and commenting on those that interest me

May the LORD Bless each of you.

    I wish you well...
