Snow Beneath the Moonlight
It's a crisp January evening here in Southern Wisconsin and the moon is full. The stars are out in full force creating a setting that one could call indescribable. As I traverse under the ancient pines I hear the crunchy sound of the snow at my feet. The snow sparkles as the Moonlight bounces off it.
The sound of an Great Horned Owl screeches across the landscape as mice make way to find shelter. The eyes of a doe glow in the Moon struck forest... As I enjoy all this I realize that this is the first winter where I actually looked at my surroundings. My moonlight hikes are refreshing and maybe next time I'll travel by candle light.
That's winter here in Wisconsin.

Josh,
You have a poetic soul. But this entry seems as if you got interupted, did you? I love it though! Can't wait for more. PamPosted 01-16-2009 at 06:06 PM by Pam& Bill -
Josh, still loved it and I'm glad you finished it!

Hey Josh, that is one nice piece of writing. It reminds me something similar I wrote, here in Colorado, a long time ago (long before the internet). Anyway, it shows that you understand what is truly important in life.
I'm considering coming back to the Great Midwest after retirement, so will be looking to some of your forums for advice and information.
I think Pam digs you (oops, she's married!)

Josh,
Mr. Klister is right... I do dig your writing. But not only am I married, I'm old enough to be your mother!
When are you going to write some new ones?

Pam,
I haven't been in the writing mood lately. Well I've got a new love in life so maybe I will have something soon. It's been two years since I fell in love so my mind is in a million different places right now.Posted 12-28-2009 at 08:16 PM by JoshB
