hunterseat df: Hunter Seat Equitation is a division that is judged on the ability and the style of the rider. The riders can be judged both over fences and on the flat.

Although true, hunters DO eat, at least the skilled ones do, my name derives from the world of horses.

And because the word hunter is in my name, people automatically think I'm a guy. Not even close.

Whenever I meet someone named Hunter I have to bite my tongue to keep from saying "That's my name, too!"

Interesting house. 1906, built like a pole barn with walls and floor added after. No foundation. The floor needs replacing, joists are shot. So people ask "how's the foundation?" Funny you should ask. I guess the word Non-existant would suffice.

But I have a very encouraging contractor friend who is giving me some great ideas.

Did I mention walls? Hoo boy. They're 2 layers of horizontal boards sandwiching a layer of vertical boards. No framing. No insulation.
This is the front of the house. The back half was built later and SEEMS to be better. But I'm not going to dig into the back until I can determine if the front can be salvaged. SMH
The property is wonderful but tick riddled. I might get part of the forest cleared but that's not definite. The upper pasture needs to be cleared so bad. I found a great guy/contractor who is going to do some work for me. The bad part is my house isn't sold in CA. That was money I was counting on. Suffice to say I can't count on anything from that at this point.

Before I found out the contract fell through I applied for a couple of jobs. Interview Wednesday. That would help me fund repairs until the house sells. Plus if I want to finance anything, which is likely at this point. Septic tank being one big-ticket item.

Okay, there's my update. Off to put some medicine on these tick bites!!
OH I will say I've found a church and a couple of parking lots I can skate in. Roads are too hilly here but I still keep my eyes open!
