Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

What A Mess On The West Coast: A Terrible Price For Liberalism

Say what you will about what either side thinks of immigration and how things are interpreted. If you are a common-sense thinker, then it's easier for you all to distinguish the right thing from the wrong thing.

I'm sure, by now, you've heard all the stories about the goings-on in San Francisco. One of America's most beautiful cities (and, sadly, also one of America's most wicked) has been tarnished in recent years. Did you know that that city has allowed people to urinate and pee in public areas?? You've read it right. The mayor has harped on and on about supporting sanctuary cities and allowing illegal aliens to run amok in San Francisco and the surrounding area, endangering people's lives and threatening our way of life. Add that to the recently-adopted urination ordinance and you've got big problems. It's sick, folks, just sick. And this thing called liberalism is behind all of this, and the display in front of your eyes can make your stomach turn. In some parts of San Francisco, you can't go certain places without seeing feces and crap all over the place. Sidewalks. Benches. You name it. The place is a mess! How low can people stoop just to see these turd curds decorating a cityscape? What have city officials done about it? Nothing.

The tragedy of it all is, they've allowed this to happen, not just for illegal aliens, but for their legal citizens, as well. The below article may be two years old, but America's just now finding out about this, thanks to Rush Limbaugh and other radio hosts. Meantime, take a look:

Oh, Scott McKenzie, once upon a time, used to sing a song back in the 1960s about this California city, telling people to wear flowers in their hair. And, also, that there'd be some gentle people there. Folks, that does not describe the San Francisco of today. Today, the place stinks. Those same aforementioned flowers will wilt amongst the turd curds! Politics (particularly the left-wing sort) have replaced common sense. Along with witch practices, gay lifestyles, progressivism, and other things, you can now add people's poop to the list of the pile. San Francrapsco? San Fecesco? People used to gripe about how oil refineries make some cities like Houston stink. Well, they haven't been to San Francrapsco lately. I'd much rather camp out at a Houston refinery than walk the streets of the City By The Bay (and I don't mean Galveston Bay). And, for the record, I don't believe that Houston stinks at all. Imagine Tony Bennett having a seizure. No longer can anyone leave his/her heart in San Francisco, lest it get covered with pee cling-ons.

Cleaning up the place is what is really needed in San Fran. It's bad enough that illegals are running around, but common sense will tell you that you can't simply pee and wizz in a public setting where people can see you. Where's the privacy anymore? Left-wingers, once again, are the chief reason and root cause for all the stench, leading to horrible and misguided city ordinances. Point is, there is still such a thing as the restroom. It exists for a reason. San Francisco will lose population and business (and, thus, tourism) because people have just gone off the deep end. My brother is already leaving. It is my most fervent prayer that my niece will follow him out of there. San Francisco is literally what many people call a toilet, and it is a tragic disgrace.
