Girlish days,Hebrides houses and fairy tale music

Feeling really girly and my usual femme enfant nature,I have on my girl next door long denim overalls with a sage top,I made some grilled vegetables for lunch,have been working on my Pinterest(katiewistow) board 'the handmade house' I imagine it as a wooden cottage in the Hebrides or Connemara by the sea.Russian dolls on the bookshelves as well as books on fairy tales and lore,Celtic art framed and all about,reading from 'Celtic meditations for the turning year' every morning,cooking traditional food and sourcing food locally.Oh local fine cheeses carefully wrapped,everything in the house handmade by us,writing poetry each night in this most classic and beautiful Celtic journal I found,I am so in love with it,I'm getting it this week.They can make custom ones too and I plan to have one made with a Celtic design I love,maybe one also to use as a family history book.Im really missing writing my novel 'Daughter of Ivor' which was about an ancient family brooch,the haunted Hebrides,the goddess bride,the snakes of st Patrick and second sight. I'd give anything to write it again,and a poem about Caer and Aengus too but neither of these things will my mind allow for.I could weep.Ive been watching clips of the film 'Evening' I find the atmosphere of the film and it's title really evocative and sort of floats me away to another place,which is harder to do these days.The only other film that does that for me is 'how to make an American quilt'.But anyway 'Evening' is about an old woman recalling her one true love,I liked the idea very much and I watched the film years ago but don't really remember it.It got me thinking a lot about my one true love.

I spent New Year's Eve listening to enchanting fairy tale music and writing in my journal,the joys of last year as well as it's devastations.I dreamt about redheads in the morning,this first day of the year, so have been researching redheads all morning,how they were mythologised etc.Oh I would truly love to be a redhead,I think they are often so sombre and painterly to look at,rare as gold.And I adore redheaded men,I swoon over Eddie redmayne and ed sheeran.
My ultimatus soulmate too is a lightly freckled redhead, I feel like he will be the theme of this year as they say the energy of the last day of the year sets the tone for the new year,well yesterday I mostly felt immersed in deeper things,in the mysteries again,I lamented in the evening but it was a giving day.Im still going through a phase I often go through where I only like European food and have been searching out tradtional old world recipes from Hungary,Croatia and Italy and just swooning over them.I like simple recipes best as I'm not an ordered enough person to really do it perfectly.Id really like a cookbook of traditional recipes from all over Europe.

I watched my favourite girly you tuber talk about pretty things and gush,I normally loathe these hoarders of things but she has so much character and frillyness I enjoyed it.It made me write down a host of precious things I'd love including a swan pendant,and monogrammed pyjamas but really I'm not in a materialist mode, I'm more interested in poetry,mystery,fairy tales,books,dreams a sacred existence that means something.This time feels rich and deep.Oh I want to slow dance with someone I love and eat ice cream sundaes.Im so old fashioned.I have a crone aspect that likes riddles and symbols,the dark depths,a girlish maiden aspect that is princessy and dear,and a mother aspect that is very nurturing and domestic.This maiden,mother,crone triptych is otherwise known as the triple goddess.I shouldn't really feel confused by all these different driving forces in me,but let them be what they are I feel.I use to think it was all ancestral.Well I'm going to make tea,play the fairy tale music,maybe look up Hungarian things for a little while.I hope you had a beautiful start to the turning year, full of new hopes and passions.
