Denver Spring Break Staycation Ideas
Ghost Town Museum – Colorado Springs – Ever wanted to know more about Colorado’s Wild West heritage? The ghost town museum is a great place to visit for both adults and kids. Why not make it a whole day and check out some other attractions around Colorado Springs including Pikes Peak and Manitou Springs.

Rocky Mountain National Park – Estes Park – A trip to Rocky Mountain National Park is always worthwhile whether there is snow on the ground or not. Be sure to check the weather report before you go because it could be warm here in Denver yet snowing up there in the mountains. Stop at Estes Park for some lunch and ice cream.
Wild Animal Sanctuary – Out on the plains in Keensburg there are wild animals galore. Lions, Tigers, Bears, Wolves and all kinds of other wild animals that have been rescued live great lives right here in Colorado. This place is an amazing place to visit and your kids will love seeing these animals roaming around in their wide open spaces.
Cheyenne Wyoming – Tour the State Capitol Building and the Cheyenne depot museum to learn more about Cheyenne’s history. Another fun activity is to walk around town and find all the amazing cowboy boots that are hidden throughout Cheyenne. Grab some lunch in town then make sure you hit the Wyoming visitors center on the drive back to Colorado.
United States Mint Tour – We are lucky to have a United States Mint right here in downtown Denver. Take a 45-minute tour through the Mint and learn how currency is made.
