What makes a good person? How do you know if they are a good person inside?
In my opinion the way to find out if someone you barely met a while ago and someone you can trust and count on is to ask them for a small favor. Not a big favor, but a minor one that should not put them our of their way greatly. If they see that it is something within their abilities, a nice person should help without even having an emotional connection with you. A person who has to measure everything to see if it benefits them first, will refuse to help and you will know that their first priority is themselves.
What is another characteristic of a good person? They treat everyone the same and don't let their bias get in the way of being nice.
There is this coworker at my work and we do not particularly get along. She is very opinioned and set in her ways. But if she can help me out in some ways she will not hesitate. So even when we don't like each other and disagree in many things, it does not prevent her from doing good deeds. On the other hand, another coworker, no matter how many times I have helped her, the moment I ask for a favor, she refuses. You can bet I am going to think twice before helping her.
