Important People Doing Important Things!
Welcome to my misanthropic journey through life. Is it almost over? God I hope so.

What is email?

OK, so I live in 1995. I actually have multiple email addresses and prefer to use email as a primary contact for most things in my life (if I can). For some reason, employers no longer use email. In fact, I am "ass"-uming most employers do not even know what email is. If it is not Facebook or texting it is creepy and weird, and email is definitely old school creepy and weird.
On my resume I have a phone number and email address. On my cover letters I specifiy if employers cannot reach me by phone they can to email me. Out of the 80 jobs I have applied to and 9 interviews, only two employers ever emailed me regarding setting up an interview. Most of the time employers only use the phone. Which is OK, if most employers knew how to use a phone in a professional manner.
I get phone messages from potential employers that befuddle me and make no sense. Either I can't understand the message (bad cell phone connections), or the person NEVER gives me their name or the company they are calling from.
Case in point, yesterday I received a phone call from some woman (she didn't give me her name) who said she was calling about an Administrative Assistant position I applied to and to call her back.
OK. I have applied to MANY Administrative Assistant positions. She did not give me her name or the company. I suppose I can do a search on the phone number she gave me (but if it is a personal cell phone, all bets are off), but that is too much work in my opinion.
I don't know, the more I apply for jobs the more I realize incompetent people get the jobs and I am NEVER going to get a job. NEVER.
Whatever. I haven't applied to a new job in over a week. There is nothing out there, and I am sick of doing the same old thing and getting the same old result of NO JOB OFFERS.
It shouldn't be this hard. It really shouldn't.![Mad](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
