The Weather in Charleston, SC

Hi from Charleston, SC!
Every time I mention that I live in Charleston, SC the first question is about the weather. So, I thought I would share my experience since moving here from Asheville, NC.
The morning after I arrived in Charleston I remember waking up and opening the door to go outside and feeling like I had walked into an oven that had been heating up all night. It was instant sweat. I thought, what have I done. It was definitely the type of weather that made the cool waters of the ocean 10 minutes away worthwhile!
It only took a few months to acclimate to the weather. Now, it is January 2nd and 65 degrees outside and I am freezing to death. So, here is a breakdown of my weather descriptions:
Jan-Mar
Cool enough for sweatshirts and winter hats with the occasional frost or flip-flop day
Mar-May
Starts warming up and you can wear a T-shirt with pants and be comfortable. Make sure to take a lite jacket for the evening/night
May-July
Prepare to sweat and crank the air down. You're gearing up for August
August
This month gets its own description. This is the for sure you are going to die of a heat stroke walking to the car month. The humidity is so high you can look back and see where you came from when walking. It is okay to walk around regardless of where you go in a bathing suit. There is a mutual understanding!
Sept-Dec
Depends. This year, shorts and t-shirts as well as air up until January 2.
Charleston is a beautiful place to live especially if you are not a fan of winter. If you are looking to move to this wonderful area, let me know! I would be more than happy to help!
