St.Louis Blues

I'm not talking about the song or the hockey team,i'm talking about the city itself. St.Louis city is small compared to a lot of cities but St.Louis is huge if you add all the surrounding municipalities to it. There was a time when St.Louis was one of the largest cities in the United States but folks fled to the county and didn't want to be part of the city. It is in the city, especially the North side where most of the shootings take place but it is beginning to spread out into the surrounding towns. We are getting a lot of attention these days because of Ferguson which really wasn't a dangerous town at all, I could list the top 10 bad places to live in St.Louis and Ferguson would not be one of them. I got a call from my brother who lives on the East Coast the first night of those riots and he said, " What the Hell is going on over there? I turn my TV on and see St.louis on our news and it looks like it's being invaded. " I have to blame the media for most of this crap,it seems like the more media coverage the protests get the more violent it becomes. There was an episode from the old Star Trek series where an alien entity got on board the Enterprise and it got the crew fighting with the Klingons and with each other because it got it's energy from violence, that's kind of how the media functions. Now,courtesy of Social Media, we are expecting 6000 protesters over the weekend, many from other states to arrive in St.Louis for demonstrations. We also have baseball playoffs and Monday Night Football in town which means more national exposure so it might get ugly.
