The Tip of the Iceberg

Posted 02-21-2014 at 10:59 AM by Fortoggie

By now you have heard that Face book has paid 16 Billion for Whatsapp. The people I have talked to about this purchase and app have hardly raised an eyebrow. It hasn't sunk in, the money has so many zeros that it doesn't register
The young are just saying, oh boy now we have still another toy to play with but folks we are talking about a purchase here that is worth more than many of the old line companies that we have grown up with.
What I am saying is that Face Book, Google and Twitter among others are changing the future. The old money and the old power will be disrupted. It will be a few years yet but once the unwashed millions figure out that the magic device in their hands can overthrow the super rich and the super powerful; watch out!
It probably will not be a comfortable revolution. The masses usually take it out on the governments first, although it would be wiser to bypass the governments and make their move on those who have really held the power and kept the lower classes in their place.
The public has not yet learned how they have been exploited and by whom but the fact that some bright young geeks have figured how to bind the masses together [ if they want bind together ] means that change is a coming.
