This is the true continuing saga of my escape from California. While California is a beautiful, unique place, it is wrought with political turmoil, over-taxation and ridiculous laws. We want to be free.
So we have arranged to move to the lovely Oregon Coast area. And build and run an antique store. To enjoy life in a leisurely fashion.
This is my story.

Lightening The Load

Posted 01-29-2009 at 10:51 PM by DezertGirl

I am at this moment posting items to eBay and Craigslist in the hopes of lightening our load. We will need to make several trips to move everything to Oregon, so we are really thinning our possessions. I am also organizing a load for the swap meet this Sunday.
The horses will be one load to Oregon, heck, the pipe corrals are very heavy and will be a load unto themselves! Not to mention my thinned goat herd. We will be keeping the Angora herd and three Pygmys - the buck and 2 does. Dewey the Nubian wether will also come. Thinking of having a petting zoo at the new place and Dewey will fit right in with his sweet personality. Besides, he likes to help Vic prune trees.
The VW Rabbit will go with us, the Dodge 2500...3 or 4 trailers we'll keep. I think we must sell the Corvette
Our 1980 Chevy Luv 4x4 truck will come, but we are going to sell the 1973 Jeep CJ. I am VERY busy!
