Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Case44's Super Bowl Pick For The Big Game

Posted 02-02-2013 at 08:50 AM by case44

I need to make this a yearly tradition, and since I started blogging back in ought-8, I'm surprised I haven't to this point. So, this writer is going to this time.

As you all know, the Super Bowl occurs tomorrow at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. You already know that the San Francisco 49ers are playing the Baltimore Ravens. Case's Column is now going to give you my prediction for the final score of the biiiiiggg game. Grab your cola and your snacks and gather around the TV. Oh, and don't forget the commercials, too.

Prediction: San Francisco 27, Baltimore 24. Sorry, Ray Lewis.

Actually, if I'm dreaming, I'd say more like, Texans 35, Packers 21. Schaub throws for 400 and two touchdowns (yes, one to Johnson), Foster runs for 100 with one TD. Oh, well.......

Maybe next year.

The 49ers? Case, Kaepernick might be good, but he's not going to beat the Ravens' D. I see Baltimore winning this one, 20-10.

As for your Texans, if they'd just played any better in those last 4 or 5 games, they'd have been in the AFC title game at least.

I'm not exactly upset over the end result, because, in the end, I didn't care that much about either team.

I would have preferred seeing Houston get in, and if they hadn't coughed everything up, they'd have gotten in.

    Hiya Case.

I'm not upset that the Ravens won, as I'm a Steelers fan. The 49ers would have tied us for the Super Bowl record. But I do still have to deal with Ravens fans, hehe.

I did watch the Texans a bit when ya drafted David Carr. I'm in Fresno and watched him in college.:)
