Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken.
Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Groundhog Day Again - And Another Early Spring

My gosh, is Punxsutawney Phil auditioning for a weather job in Dallas? No, I think he'll just stay in Pennsylvania, but he just did warm weather lovers a humongous favor. For the second time in three years, he's predicting an early spring. Shadow or no, I like it when he rings this tune.
I'm with him, actually. I prefer highs of 70 over highs of 40. We just had a slight cold spell in North Texas in the last few days, but we'll be back to 70 tomorrow, just in time for the Super Bowl. Every now and then, cold weather is fine, as all the bugs need to be done away with. Winter is just boring, in my opinion. Oh, some snow is fine, but I wouldn't want to live in places where it snows every week, and you'd have to push a shovel every week. In Texas, it's only a short break between summers. The only shovels I see being pushed around here are construction workers building something to make the Texas economy better, but that's another post.
So, we can all thank Punxsutawney Phil, that whimsical little groundhog of an animal, for never being wrong when we need him to be right. Springtime, here we come!

Just findin my way back to city data, n thought about doin a new blog too. It seems ive forgotten everything, and yours sounded like something i could relate to, and probably apply the same loose format.
So, now im trying to remember if i 'subscribe' to it? ill figure it out with a little practice.
But, im havong trouble figuring out how to give it a name, and how to put it out there for people to know about.
Maybe we can learn fom each other.
And. Ill certainly have my opinion pieces on thinngs that provoke me to thought, or things i feel strongly about, or just need to be shared with an audience.
