This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Jesse

Days

Posted 06-19-2012 at 11:05 AM by woodworkingmenace

Well, it looks like its been a few days since I last posted anything on this blogg, so, I reckon today is a good day to jot a few notes and what-nots down...

Nancy, your Mom arrived safely from Missouri last night, but, instead of getting here at 6:45pm, she didnt get in til about 10 something... My Wife and Sister in law, finally made it home about 11pm last night!

Why is it, when ever she flies, she is never on time LOL....

I went to my exercise session at the YMCA and I found out that I lost 11 pounds of water weight in the last few days!!
Down to 360 pounds now

My legs have been hurting me from being so 'full' of water, and tight as a rock, so I have been laying in bed for the last two days, and taking my water pills and getting up long enough to go to the bathroom to get rid of the water... It seems that its paid off for quite a bit now, but, as soon as I drink water again, it starts to get my legs hard again and they hurt like crazy.

Im like a giant sieve... water goes in the top, and goes to the bottom of my legs, and stays there... The heart isnt strong enough to pump it to the kidneys to be gotten rid of, so I have to elevate my legs to help the ol ticker out .

Wife is in the kitchen making me some grilled cheese sandwhiches and tomato soup...YUMMY!!! I would have had fried cucumber sandwhiches after my exercise session, but, she ran out of cucumbers today, so Im settling for the next best thing.

My Son and his buddies are half way through chapter one on his Science Fiction Book they are writing. Each is going to be a Co-Author, unless someone drops out, then they will get an honorable mention in the Book. It seems my Son is doing all the writing and the others are bouncing ideas off of him, to see what he is going to put in there. But, since we have your Mother with us now, and between his Tae Kwon Doe clases and walking and everything else he is into, he is going to have each of them write a chapter for the book and then they will just see what the best ideas are for each chapter and put that in.

I know that I am biased about my Son, but, his writings are pretty good, in my opinion, and I have read thousands of Science Fiction Books through out my life time, plus other venues also, and he is right up there, in his grammer and ideas for the Book.

Apparently, your Mother and my Wife will be making the journey up to Ashtabula next Sunday if everything works out...
They called and wanted us to come to them, instead of them coming to us... (Though, it would have made it a whole lot easier for your Mom, but, since its her last trip up here, I reckon we will comply with thier wishes instead).

Your Mom looks pretty good for 80, Nancy. You guys must have some good genes in the old ancestrial closet .

I got conformation today that I am approved for my electric wheel chair!! I should be hearing from the people in a few days, who sell the things, and see what comes of it now. (I have never seen these things, nor even know for sure what I am getting!! It could be anything from a scooter to a wheel chair... The guy who was here measuring the doorways and me as I sat in a chair said that it will be a maroon electric chair, with a toggle switch on the right hand side... (?).
This is like buying a car and paying for it, then having it delivered with out even knowing what your getting or seeing it LOL).

Thats when you know your OLD... End of the Line... But, with my heart condition and all the other maladies I am having, I will definetely need it for later on in life...
Shoot, who am I kidding???
I need it now LOL.... Tryng to walk a long way is exhausting. Just trying to go up the stairs to my Dad's house, to deliver his Fathers day card and some candies to him, was exhausting to me. All the exercises I do, and cant even go up some stairs??? Thats disgusting to me..sheesh!!!!!
Two and a half years of going to my Cardiac Rehab sessions, and working out with weights and (used to be the treadmill, but, the longer I went, the less it seemed I could do with that venue), other items to help me with my path to getting stronger and healthier, has still led me to being as weak as a kitten when trying to ascend stairs or even go up a grade while walking...
It plain exhausts me still.... (I am assuming its the ticker that cant handle that part).

I looked in the mirror today and I am finally getting cheek bones again!! (Moon face is finally going away slowly). My Wife says my face is 'drooping', or falling... Uh, what? I am not losing weight that fast, to look like the skin is hanging from me, yet. (Though, I have seen people when they do lose a lot of weight, and had tremendous skin hang, and looked so blasted old because of it...Im trying to avoid that, by losing it slowly...
Its the water weight that will go quickly, not the fat).

Lets see, the three most ways Americans get too much salt, is Mac & Cheese, lunch meats, and cheese slices according to the National News. So, I just try to limit what I can, even though, I love a good Mac & Cheese and slices of cheese on my hamburgers to make a cheeseburger LOL....

Im all over the place on this blog today, I see.... Scatter blast is what we call this mess, but, its how my mind operates at times... Most of the time I love organization, but, when I havent posted for quite some time, I have a lot to say and this comes and that comes and disorganization is running rampant in my mind today, so kiddies, you know how it is for me.

My Son and I are bunking in the same room, so, he is playing his video games, while Im laying in bed with my feet up, listening to gunshots and bells and whistles and all kinds of things that comes out of those video games LOL....sheesh. I found myself sleeping through a good portion of his playing, and woke up to chat with him about his book. I even gave him some ideas for it, so, if he uses it, then I get an honorable mention on what ever page he puts it on.
I dont even remember what page its on, and he has mentioned it to me half a dozen times already, regarding those two fellows, if they drop out, they get the honorable mention job, instead of Co-Authors.

Today started out good...
I got a hug from my Wife's Aunt today, and hugs from each of my kids today...
Now THAT makes a guy feel good, and I will tell ya, just to let you guys know, that I appreciate it every time!!

I got two brand new canes for Fathers Day from my kids (the kind that adjusts and are metal-->my Son told me that he got tired of seeing me with two different size canes and I was always leaning from one side or the other, cause I kept switching hands with them all the time LOL), and a coffee mug with a little bear that had a huntin outfit in it and a wooden rifle to boot LOL...(yea, I thought it was halarious and I have it on my desk, so I can look at it, each and every day), also I got a great card that my kids signed and put a message on, and my Daughter even gave me a greeting on my FaceBook page! Happy Daddys Day it said!

I cooked steaks on the grill, (first time that grill has been fired up for two years now), and we had the fixins for a great meal.
Problem is, the steaks were so big, that it was a meal in itself, besides the corn on the cob, mashed potatos, salad, and all the other stuff that she had to go with this wonderful meal. We all had to cut up half the steaks, and put the rest away, so we could eat the meal with it LOL... I told her not to buy such big steaks, so that we could eat the meal, instead of just eat the steaks and not have room for the meal.

OK, gonna have to put my feet up, since I have been drinking a lot of stuff, while sitting here and I know its settling down in my legs..so, calling it quits now.

I wish you well...

Jesse
