This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Hospital Stay

Posted 02-25-2012 at 05:19 AM by woodworkingmenace

After suffering for a week, of being in bed, with my feet hurting (felt like bee stings and sharp razor knives cutting into my flesh), it was time to go to the Doctor.

Now, my feet were so sore, I couldnt put them on the ground, as the hydraulic pressure of the water would go there immediately and make me scream!! So, it was breakfast, lunch and dinner in bed-->(good thing for that hospital bed and table accessory!).

The Family Doctor said I had congestive heart failure again, because I couldnt pump the water out of my body, so, he immediately callled my Heart Doctor and got me in that day, (like two hours later!)...

I went to the Heart Doctor, and he told my Wife and myself that my feet were so swollen with water, that I had about two days before they started 'splitting' open by themselves from the pressure of all the water in them!!!! Uhhhhhhh..
.
OK??? Any other good news?

Heart Doctor called the Hospital and I was admitted into the System within hours...
'

I did enter into this game with a better attitude this time, (last time I 'didnt' want tobe there, and this time I went, because of the pain I was in...ok, pain is one hellova inducement for anything to happen LOL ).

First five days, they took twenty eight pounds of water off of me...

And yes, my potassium and other electrolytes are going nuts, going out in the urine, and have to be replaced. So, they opted for long term 'Acuity Care' again....

Been in Acuity Care now for four days.
This Kidney Doctor, is playing games with me, I think...First, she says she is going to let my Heart Doctor prescribe the lasix brand Im to use, and was going to take a 'hands off' approach, then, come to find out, she is dictating how much fluids I get and other things.. Either stay in the flow of things or get out of the pond, and take your ball and go home!!! She had me on 2k ml of water in the hospital, then, she dictates that I dont need that much and cuts me down to 1500ml of water!!! (OK, I 'did' agree that I would do that for a week, but, that was at the other hospital, when she was coming around, chatting with me, and being interactive in my care... When she told me she was givinng up her 'right' to prescribe this or that, I naturally assumed she was out of the picture).

I did get my first SHOWER in the hospital...
WONDERFUL!!! I told my Wife, the next remodel, she can have a shower....(Thus goes my deep eagle clawed cast iron bath tub-->unless I can find a way to get it into the basement to set up down there for a hot bath!!! ((sneaky))... If all else, I can fill it with dirt and start her tomato plants every year in it LOL.. sheeeeeesh!!!!!!! So hard to give up and old friend ....

OK, I got at least a week to spend here, so Im going to make the best of it....

They put 'wraps' on my legs every day, and squeeze the water out, (Wife and the girls are admiring them... cause they never seen them so 'thin' before now LOL... Wimmin!!!).

I start therapy again Monday, and have already gotten reaquainted with all the staff I grew fond of on my last venture here.
Everyone wants to come look at all the pictuures I have on my computer... family members and all sorts of things... Why people are facinated with other peoples pictures are beyond me LOL...but, I get a lot of people stopping in just to watch the progression of pictures as they flash on the screen for my screen saver. Probably half the staff have stopped in to see them so far... Go Figure???....

Wife has been bringing me up some fruits and slipped me a piece of box chiecken last night YUMMMMMMMY!!!!! Aint nuttin like boxed chicken, except KFC Chicken to bring a smile to my face

As for the home front... My Son is starting tomato plants in the basement now. (Something I wanted to do last year I thnk, but, my Wife kept forgetting tp water them!!). He got some Burpee Tomato seeds, so they should all germinate, (good brand of seeds). I told him that he needs iron, and calcium citrate-->(chemicals from HOW ITS MADE on hydrophonic growing hot house tomatoes; where the tomatoes grow 30+ feet high!!! plus fertilizer).

Now, if he takes my advice, we shall see if they grow, but, his first time, so, I dont expect him to do that... That only comes with experience...and, he has to learn that Dad is right, and his way will be wrong, but, he has to try and come up short first, in order to learn... Next year, when I can get back down in the basement again, (and back up LOL), I will show him a thing or two, and see who's plants will be better...

OK, nuff for now...

I wish you well...

Jesse

(Oh, I spilled some Pepsi on my laptop, so some of the keys stick, so, if words tend to run together and I miss it, bear with me, they will work out eventually, I hope LOL)..Jesse
