Munch, Chat, and Stitch

Last night it was my turn to host the monthly Munch, Chat, and Stitch bash and I was thrilled to have most of the women attend. I think everyone had a good time. Judging from their voices and laughter they did.

I was glad to add two new attendees to the roster, a delightful woman from my dentist's office that beads, and a coworker that is a long-time quilter and crafter in general.

Even Bigun and Ritz got in on the bash, though they had to be shushed downstairs when they became a bit too over zealous in the gaiety.

DH made an excellent chili con carne to serve as our main course , accompanied by my corn bread muffins (packed with creamed corn and green chilis), tortilla chips with two salsas and guacamole, roasted peanuts, and platters of fresh vegetables and fruits. DH bought Mexican beers to accompany my assortment of diet sodas, lemonade, and iced tea.

I am pretty sure nobody left hungry, though we have enough leftovers for another bash!

How great God is to us in all this abundance, including such nice friends to share it with in lively pastimes.

Now all that's left is to empty the dishwasher, and prepare for my next visitor, due in the next 1.5 hours. I won't have to do a thing but put the pot of water on for tea, and load a tray with goodies. (My kind of entertaining!)

Oh, well, I suppose I should also shower and dress!
