My Brother who lives in Michigan called me today!! We chatted and had a great time... Shame he wont call our Dad, or my other Brother, but, he and I get along great, where he doesnt get along with the rest of the family I reckon...sheesh.
My Wife sent his Wife a birthday card, and he and her swore it had to come from 'me' because it was kind of 'ornery', and I had to dissapoint them and say that I never sent it, but she did, and she picked it out, cause I never go to any store, simply cause I cant walk a long way yet. Going to be awhile til I can, but, its something Im working on
My Son and his buddy were playing X-box when I got up, so, after supper I started to watch them play the game, and for some reason, I could actually 'watch' with out nauseating my stomach!! I may ask him later, if I can play... I will get a bath first, just to be sure, if I get violently ill, and have to go to the hospital, I will be squeaky clean 'before' I go, cause you never feel clean, getting a sponge bath while in there!... Besides, I need a good hot soak for my backside, anyways...
My Son took his buddy to see his Dad, so its nice to see that he has 'some' connection to hs family and will be able to chat some up.... I know he wont have any contact with his mother, since she has basically ruined everyones credit in that entire family, and some of them arent even out of grade school yet!!! I hope that someday, everyone can forgive her and they can find it in thier hearts to communicate with her, even if it takes years to do so.
I talked to my Dad and Mom, and, of course, they never know what they want for Christmas, so, my Wife is free to buy what ever it is, that she wants to buy for them. I, along with my Wife are thinking of giving my kids a few hundred bucks and let them go after Christmas and get all kinds of sales, cause everything they want, will be on sale anyways, so why pay full price? Besides, my Daughter will probably buy time for her phone anyways, as that is her lifeline to the World, it seems like...(Wife bought her 'time' this time and she didnt keep up her end of the bargain, so I refuse for her to do it ever again!). I could really care less if she has, or has not got a cell phone... Maybe its because Im old fashion in some ways, but, unless there is a phone for emergencies (and we have those nokia phones in each car for that, with time on it), chatting with friends, she can always use the pones in the house! I just wish she would learn to keep the silly thing on charge, and the charger plugged IN!!! Drives me nuts, when her phone goes dead, she grabs another, and about every phone in the house is dead, because of her usage of them, and forgettefullness of keeping them charged up.
While talking on the phone today, I got a 'data burst' and was wondering what it was caused by, and had my daughter transfer me to another phone (with multiple phones, you can do that, but, only she knows how to accomplish this, cause I only use the phone that is by my computer...if that one is gone from the cradle, I dont answer the phone at all then!). It turns out that it was an incoming call, and I simply told everyone, that I didnt know what it was, cause no one ever calls me, and since I dont chat on the phone, I dont know all the 'functions' that are associated with various phones!
I dont bother with cell phones, because I am a technical boob now, and cant seem to find out how to turn on most of the cell phones we have had in this house, because I dont keep up with technology anymore! (There was a time, way back when, I was the 'go to' guy for computers, cause I kept up with them, and learned a ton of stuff by doing this and that and crashing my first computer over 97 different times, and rebooting it, so that I could do just about anything with it... Now, Im happy to be playing Mahjong on the computer all day long (since I dont play evony anymore-->after a year and a half, it was time to give it up). I keep telling my buddy from Canada, that once I get down to 240 pounds, (still over 350 yet), I 'should' be able to walk with out pain and plan to be out and about, and not chained to my computer, passing the time of day away, and wasting my life! I want to 'live' Life to the fullest and am working toward that goal
