Change of Mind

I have given up on my beloved Schuylkill County & Tremont PA. I will always love the land but it will not rebound and revitalize like I had once dreamed of contributing too. The cause is not worth my time or efforts. There are far more important things in life like love, friends, and family. Its not a location that makes life great it is the people you are surrounded by.
After High School I plan to go to college somewhere, and not necessarily in Pennsylvania, to study law. After that I will move to a great place that I will adore. (e.g. a small victorian town with a flourishing economy all the while being close to a metropolis. Also, it may not be in Pennsylvania liek once planned.
I also dream of seeing the world. I want to see the west again, visit all 50 states (I have 30 some down), and see Europe.
I am done dwelling on the past and how to save it in one particular place. I am going to appreciate the good that is out there all across the world.

Hey, I just stopped by because I was reading through the NEPA forum and realized that I hadn't seen anything from you lately.
Re: your blog entry, I wish you well! I don't necessarily think of it as 'giving up' but maybe moreso reevaluating and considering other options that you will have in your future.
If it helps at all, my opinion is that life gets better and better, especially after high school, and i bet you'll find the same.Posted 12-09-2008 at 10:23 AM by cowboyxjon -
I often told my 2 kids that there was nothing in this area so their best bet was to move on after getting an education. My son relocated to NYC and my daughter is in California. Consider combing a law degree with an other career field---medical, etc.
