Early Morning Barn Sale

Posted 05-05-2010 at 01:06 PM by WayneCo

Me and Jessica, my live-in girlfriend, took a trip to a huge flea market style sell just outside of Brookville Indiana this morning. The trip down was absolutely beautiful. The hills and the sunshine. The grass was so green. I guess the grass really is greener on the other side, was said a few times.
Anyway when we finally got there, after a quick stop for some breakfast at a Mom-n-Pop shop called Hav-a-Bite.. awesome biscuits and gravy by the way... we were amazed to see how many cars were already parked there. Tons.. amazing... and although there was a lot of junk to sort through.. there are definitely some gems mixed in. I've found several CHEAP Stephen King books to add to my collection and some toys for Jessica's son. They also have home grown produce. Walked away with a basket full of tomatoes, a pack of strawberries, and 10 tangerines all for 4 dollars.. Crazy. Anyway if you get a chance to get this out, I'd suggest doing so.. I think it starts pretty early, even like 6am, but we got there around 9 and people started packing up around 12pm.. it happens every Wednesday, it's on Rt. or US 52 going out of Brookville, IN. Check it out.. they call it the Sale Barn I believe.
