London - Caretakers at the National Gallery were astonished this morning when a number of people began reporting that an image of the Virgin Mary had presented itself in a well known painting entitled Jungfrun i bön .
Jack Newburgh, a plumber from Bayonne, New Jersey was with his wife and kids visiting the museum when he first caught sight of the ghostly image. "I couldn't believe my eyes. I was standing amidst the museum just looking around at the works when I looked up and saw Mother Mary looking down at me. It was the eeriest thing in the world. I mean, of all the places she could appear, to do so in a painting of the Virgin Mary is nothing short of miraculous.
"The resemblances in the painting are no mere coincidence," said another museum patron. "If you want to believe this painting is nothing more than an accident then you have another thing coming. It's too perfect, too appealing, and too reflective to be anything other than the Virgin Mary."
Despite the debate over whether it is actually the Virgin Mary or not, hundreds upon thousands of Catholics have descended upon the National Gallery in London to have their ailments healed and their minds put at ease. "Mary cured my herpes infection," said Sister Lisa Tourmè, a nun at the Tyburn Convent. "I used to suffer periodic bouts of herpes flareups but every since I've been taking Valtrex and touched that miraculous painting, I haven't had a single flare-up. It must be the image doing everything."
A priest also claimed the Virgin Mary image within the Virgin Mary image helped him. "I used to think about little boys in an inappropriate fashion just about every day. Ever since I saw the image of the Virgin Mary inside the painting of Mary, I became a changed man. Now, you could probably throw me into a Chuck E. Cheese or have me drive an ice cream truck and I wouldn't even bat an eyelash," said an Irish priest who wished to remain nameless.
The painting done by Giovanni Battista Salvi "Il Sassoferrato" dates back to the mid-17th century, and is supposed to be an artists' rendition of the Virgin Mary. It's unclear whether the image in the painting and the Virgin Mary are related, but it certainly seems that patrons of the museum are finding uncanny similarities between the two.
Readers decide. Is the circled portion of the painting below an image of Mary or just an element of the imagination?

I do not believe in the Mary of the Catholic Church or the Mary of Islam who lived a life with the purpose and goal of being a virgin -
As the Quran says in - Quran 66:12 “And (God sets forth the example for those who Believe) of Mary, the daughter of Heli, who guarded her chastity, so We blew into it through Our Angel (i.e., Gabriel), and she believed in the words of her Lord and His Scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient.” (Quran 66:12)
Because the Bible does not lay importance on anything regarding the idea that Mary had planned or plotted out her virginity or guarded her chastity.
The Bible does not say that Mary had lived a long lifetime or a short life and lived with an important goal and made the personal decision of abstaining and refusing sexual relations or marriage.
Joseph and Mary were plotting, planning and preparing to get married and Joseph was fearful / afraid to take Mary as a wife sexually because she was already pregnant.
Joseph and Mary were not planning to abstain from sex.
But I do love, respect and admire the Mary that is presented in the Bible, just the normal average basic wonderful woman. I believe that all good women are wonderful just the way they are and all good, decent, caring, loving and honest women deserve the same love, respect, admiration and attention that Mary gets.
The photo is really beautiful, the colours are a deep sensual blue and a warm clean white, it is really great artwork. I really like the artwork. Thank You for showing us this beautiful photo.Posted 07-01-2018 at 08:03 AM by socalled
