Bigun, What are You Doing?!

Posted 10-15-2009 at 09:55 AM by LookinForMayberry

We came home from our first walk of the day, just a mile this time -- I was tired, he seemed ready to go home, too.

I dried him off, and left him to snuggle down in my recliner while I sat down here to upload some photos to my Album, 2009 Highlights. I glanced over from time to time, and he seemed to be napping -- until he was not.

No, he'd taken an interest in chewing holes in the cotton blanket I have draped over the recliner!

DH's BIG RULE is that puppy does NOT EVER eat any of the furniture. OMG.

Bigun got a stern "BAD Dog" and was given a chew. That kept his interest for about ten minutes, when the blanket started calling its "siren song" -- and he's back at it, again. Sigh.

Time for another walk.... this time, 1.6 miles. When we got back, he gets nap time in the crate.

Suddenly, I understand why Mom had us kids napping twice a day. It was the only way she got anything done!

I think people should have to demonstrate proficiency at dog parenthood before they get to start their family. If they cannot raise a well-behaved, good citizen canine, they should not breed.
