I called 5 car dealerships in my area. Each about anywhere from 10-25 miles +/- from each other.
I asked if the 2013 2 door model was in. I got the following from each:
1) Sometime this week
2) Not until next week
3) delayed until December
4) i asked if the had it in stock: No one in our area has it. If they tell you they do, there lying, i was told. Maybe in a few weeks.
5) We have it in stock, when can you come down? I explained to the salesmen that I already got 4 different answers. Yes! we must be the lucky dealership to have them! He said "we already sold so many already" when can you come in?
Really?
Am I not getting something? I realize it will take a few days for all the dealerships in my area to receive them. However, Answers from "December" to "In Stock"?
Not all dealers are allocated equal shares of new vehicles. It wouldn't surprise me if they had none on the lot and asked you to come in so you can look at something else. I've had dealer claim they had a car and suddenly it was gone by the time I got there.
I think number 5 is trying to get you in the door, just so they can sell you something that they do have in stock, especially given your locale .
I would check with the manufacturer as suggested to see what is in stock, and at what dealerships. Many have this capacity, and if not, call the manufacturer's customer service center and ask them about the situation.

Oh, well thats not it then. Makes me feel a little better about our late arrivals. LOL.
You know back when the all-new '13 Nissan Altimas come out, I passed a truck load of them on a hauler one morning on my way to work... it was like on a Wednesday, so that weekend I went to our closest Nissan dealership to see the car and none was there! It was like 3 weeks later until I seen any at our dealers lot... they may have been dropped off at the next closest Nissan dealer in the next city down, which is about 22 miles away and a slightly larger city... 66K, versus our 51K population. lol.
