In fact, Junior TOOK Bud FROM Hendrick.. Remember, they sponsored the 25 (50 in 1998) up through 1999 before moving to be Junior's primary.

Honestly, seems like there was another stop i'm forgetting in there.
You peaked my curiosity. Here's what I found:

Yeah, HMS renumbered the 25 in 1998 for NASCAR's 50th. Craven was the driver that year (Which might have been the year HMS had a 1-2-3 at the Daytona 500).. Craven wound up out with a concussion and I seem to recall Jason Keller getting a shot in the car along with Randy LaJoie while he was out.

But, the 'added stop' for Budweiser I feel i'm missing is somewhere between Kahne and Harvick..

The 25 was basically an also-ran at that time. Especially compared to the 24 and 5. Probably why Bud left.

Anyway.. I guess my mistake is that Bud moved with Harvick from RCR to SHR. That's probably why I think of another stop. There was, another team, just not another driver.

I was not a Jimmy Johnson Fan for most of his career... I did pull for him the last couple years , would have liked to see him win one more Championship. Obviously you cant argue with his ability and talent. I remember when it seemed he was winning everything and no one was surprised. I know its early and he has a long waaay to go but Look at this Larson kid! Of course it doesn't hurt that Hendrick Chevys are super fast right now.

So I'm going to take a leap here and say that Rick Hendrick made a brilliant decision bringing in Kyle Larson.

And yes, he'll be in Hendrick equipment, but that doesn't always play out. Remember how many championships Jr was going to win in the 88?
And boy is he getting his picture taken a lot this year... Who was the last guy to win 4 in a row , Johnson ? Kyle Busch?

He’s a perfect storm, no doubt. HMS is killing it right now.

Brad K was the last to win 3 straight points races in 2015.

The All-Star race is a non points race so it doesn’t count. But at this rate, he’ll probably sweep Pocono.
