There are rumors that Ferrari has run afoul of the fuel flow rules:
"With rivals questioning Ferrari’s power unit, the FIA issued a Technical Directive ahead of the United States Grand Prix that outlined the rules relating to fuel flow.

The FIA’s head of single-seater technical matters Nikolas Tombazis highlighted Article 5.10.5 which states that “any device, system or procedure the purpose and/or effect of which is to increase the flow rate or to store and recycle fuel after the measurement point is prohibited.”

The TD was followed by a drop-off in pace by Ferrari only throwing fuel on the fire as to whether they were operating outside the rules."

Creativity and innovation are one thing, but the rules are pretty clear on the fuel flow. Last year they were burning oil, now this. Maybe this explains Ferrari's uncanny top speed in mid-season. People knew they had found something, but not what it was.

And the uneventful close of a season that had promise. Another race where the leaders lapped up to what, 6th place? Next year feels like a placeholder year until the big 2021 changes.

Brundle and Crofty both suggested requiring teams to use all 3 tires, guaranteeing 3 pit stops - that might be a reasonable place to start.

Also, Ferrari needs a new set of people in their "race brain trust" calling strategies and setting the car up, they've made more - and more fatal - mistakes than Vettel.

I'm not a fan of what I consider 'artificial' rules. Suppose a team develops a chassis that's so easy on tires they can go a race distance on one set, why should they be penalized and be forced to make unneeded stops? I want to see rules that encourage innovation, not ones that penalize it.

The horror of it all. I'm in tears.:

TAMARA Ecclestone was in “complete devastation and shock” last night after £50million worth of gems were stolen from her London home.

The whole story: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbi...ellery-stolen/
