We will be moving to Austin as soon as our house sells here in CA. My 11 year old son has been taking jazz and tap lessons for several years, and so we will be looking for a great dance school in Austin for him. He currently attends a fairly professional dance school, so we will be looking for more than just your little local neighborhood dance school (if that makes sense). I don't know yet what area we will be buying a home in, but I don't mind driving if the school is really good.

Thanks for any help.

No direct experience (but years of ballet and tap lesson as a child!), here would be one place to start:
Ballet Austin :: Community School :: Dance Classes :: Ballet, Jazz, Broadway, Hip Hop, Tap, Hula, Flamenco, Yoga, Pilates

And here is another:

I would highly recommend Tapestry.

My friend's son, who is a very talented tap dancer, has trained there and participated in a number of performances around town.

Thanks for both suggestions, they both look like great schools, just what we are looking for. Tapestry looks like it might be a better fit for my son as he hasn't taken ballet classes yet. I will check out both. Thanks again.
