Need advice for views between two areas.
Loved both neighborhoods with established community and great oak trees, school rating very close. Looking to buy for easy commute to Apple campus ( that’s the target). Or even to other workplaces hub.
First Neighborhood (Woods of Brushy Creek) with zip code 78717 is schools combo of Great oak ES/ Cedar Valley MS/ Round Rock HS. And second Neighborhood ( Oak creek) with zip code 78681 is Fern Bluff ES/ Chisholm MS/ Round Rock HS. How you’ll feel about these sub divisions?
How’s the commute from these areas to downtown or to Parmar Lane ?
Both houses have trees pretty close to building line, some roots going towards the houses. Is there concern for foundation damage ?
Thanks for your time.

You need to look up the massive sink hole that occurred a few years back in Woods of Brushy Creek area. That would affect my decision.

What age are your kids? I'd probably go with Brushy Creek, but I'll be really surprised if it doesn't get zoned to the new high school at whatever point they build that. I think it is likely that Great Oaks get rezoned to another middle school at some point, but I suspect it will stay zoned to Round Rock High. I use to reverse commute Parmer and I wouldn't want to commute from either neighborhood to Parmer or downtown, but I don't like commuting. Brush Creek probably wouldn't be bad if you are looking at the new Apple campus. Parmer headed Eastbound at McNeil always looks like a parking lot to me in the morning and Westbound in the evening.

Cave under the area is making me to think deeper, at the same time offer got accepted, in the brushy creek. Who should I call to learn note about the sink holes and how it can affect the area in future.

With coming up for new Apple campus, and great wave of movement from California, I am looking for investment property, ( I know prices have already rocketed,) still trying my luck. As suggested by my realtor looking in these zip codes.
Thanks again for your time, open For more comments and suggestions.
