Hi,

We are moving with a 16 yr old daughter and have selected Cedar Park High School for her to attend. We have found a resale built by Ryland Homes in Twin Creeks that we like and wonder if anyone has input on the area or the builders reputation.

Thank you

The Builder's reputation is far less important than the actual inspection of the home. Ryland builds good homes, but I'm sure they've built at least a few with problems. Every builder has.

I wish I could help you out with info on the specific area, but I don't know much about Twin Creeks.

Welcome to Austin!! (Cedar Park)
Steve

Its a nice, fast growing area and of course you know about the neighborhood's amenities and the proximity to the school

We live in a Ryland in another area and are happy with what we got for the money, compared to other builders. I don't know if this is an issue with a resale but we have had some problems and the warranty people were a nightmare to deal with. We finally got them to fix things, but we had to fight for it. (We built our home 10 years ago, but the last time I checked, they had the same warranty person.)

Cedar Park is a great high school, but I wouldn't rule out any of the Leander ISD high schools if you find a neighborhood or home you like somewhere else in the district. (I think the taxes iand home prices in Twin Creeks are pretty high). I had a child graduate from Leander HS and two children attend Vista Ridge. Its really more important what your child is involved in or wants to do in the future than the reputation of the school. Each school has its strengths. For example, LHS has a nationally recognized drill team, the IB program, FFA.... Cedar Park has an excellent computer training program (Cisco), award winning marching band, and I think restaurant management or something similar.... Vista Ridge has state ranked girls' sports, Project Lead the Way (engineering program).... This isn't exhaustive, but you get the idea
