The primary use of rental-car tax for this is good to see, much like the hotel-motel tax for MB.

The article points out that it's currently unclear as to how much of the Gulch will be included, and how this may very well rule out future implementations of the MMPT. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I really, REALLY hope it doesn't.

It really sounds like they are planning to do it right. Excited to hear they don't plan to build any new parking and in fact plan develop the parking lots they are buying.

Exciting news! Between the Underground, Turner Field area, the Gulch and now South Downtown...Atlanta's downtown will become vibrant again. I am hoping more residential / less touristy stuff.

Just in time, they should be able to add "Walk outside your building without being instantly harassed" as a feature soon!

It's south of North Avenue, so it's in Downtown.
