The Towne Lake area of Woodstock is a nice suburban community with great schools in the attendance zone for Etowah High School.

A good friend of mine lives there, there's decent apartments, and it seems to be a nice area with good schools (he works as a teacher).

nice, safe, suburban area. Most retail is right in Towne Lake.

major downfall is commuting during rush hour via I-575.

The Woodstock High attendance zone part of Towne Lake is strong now alongside the Etowah highschool zone. Especially the Carmel Elementary, Woodstock Middle to Woodstock High cluster, they are very good schools (great scores on the Georgia school reports to prove it that improved recently) and now the new HOT reversable separated highway lanes that should open up soon would really help with commuting issues. I wanted to continue this thread because I feel Woodstock and the Towne Lake community,

could blow up soon as millennials with young kids might finally want to buy a home and live in an area that has great public schools that can't afford Midtown/Va-Hi or Buckhead or other expensive ITP areas.

More affordable than North Fulton, New HOT Lanes, Downtown Woodstock is very popular and busy, Good Public Schools, Lots of Shopping, Big Sense of Community (I was pleasantly surprised), Nice Parks / Trail System called Greenprint, very surprised, considering moving there.
