Everyone,
A friend may be moving to Tuscany at Lindbergh in Atlanta.
It is right next to Lindbergh Marta and I've read comments saying some parts of the Lindbergh area are not as safe. Is this a safe area or should she move on and try to find something else? There are other opportunities for her but she found a deal here and was looking to grab it. She says it's gated. Is this a safe area?

You are talking about the Tuscany apartments on Garson Drive? I've visited friends there. The security is pretty tight there and it is not smack dab on the Marta Station. It is down Garson, which is a cut through connecting Lindbergh and Piedmont going South. It is more of a drive in/drive out complex--you aren't exactly going to be walking to any shopping on that end of Piedmont Rd. Personally, I wouldn't jog around there (but I'm sure it has a work-out room in the complex). It is really a nice development--it is kind of set back from the commercial strip on Piedmont, which is a bit unsavory (girly bars etc). It depends if you want a self-contained apartment complex or a neighborhood feel.

The Lindbergh redevelopment is nice and I have never had any problems the multiple times I have been there. Tuscany is just south of Lindbergh and gated if that sort of thing makes you feel safer.
