If things continue as they are now due to the virus, is the rental market likely to crash due to many of the UofM students going home?

Any thoughts about how this is likely to affect jobs in Ann Arbor? A lot of jobs normally occupied by students are opening up, I would presume?

a fair number of student jobs are in the food and beverage and retail sales industry. With bars and restaurants and most retail sales closed those jobs don't currently exist.

Not sure how the rental market will shake out. Lots of students in apartments may stick around since they are in leases anyway. But these are unique times and a lot of things are fluid at the moment.

They’re still open for delivery though, right? I’m noticing a lot of food places posting jobs begging for delivery drivers.

Other than drivers and kitchen staff it seems pretty bleak for jobs in AA during the outbreak. Cleaners and utility workers, maybe? It seems like the few workplaces that might experience an uptick are generally not very prevalent in the Ann Arbor area.

Yes some restaurants are trying to do delivery and take out. I'm not sure how many or how busy they are.

Grocery stores are hiring for shelf stocking. People are still in a panic mode with food so stores have to restock at a faster rate than normal.
