Most kinds of hand wipes contain alcohol. I knew a nurse who had an alcohol problem and was in rehab--they tested her weekly and she could not use the hand wipes at the hospital because it would make the test come back positive!

Isn't the alcohol in hand wipes isopropyl? That will kill you if you drink it. The only edible kind of alcohol is ethanol and too much of that will kill you too.

You got me there--I have no clue "what" kind of alcohol it is. I only know it shows up on the drug test done for alcohol. A couple of my nurse friends told me about it because they were going through testing for some alcohol problems they had. I know it showed up to be a "no-pass" on their test if they used the hand wipes. So they were advised not to use the hand wipes.

We don't find it very often in the US, however in European counties liquor filled chocolates are quite common.

Yes, the chocolates I consumed where from another country. They were amazing. Very good idea mixing liquor and chocolates. Very, very good idea.

You can get the alcohol filled chocolates at Costco, Trader Joes, Cost Plus and World Market among other places.

I read not too long ago about inmates in prison getting drunk off the hand sanitizer in the prisons because they were drinking the stuff. Some of these guys were getting sick and had to be hospitalized. I think as long as there's alcohol in it, whether it be isopropyl or ethanol, someone's gonna drink it.

I dunno, it's not particularly uncommon to find DiSorrono, Kahlua, Jack Daniels, Cointreau, etc., cordials at liquor stores.
