This is just too Cool! I'm hooked on this webcam from Long Island now.
Time lapse video from 5/31/15. Watch the storm on Saturday that crossed over Fairfield County,CT. First you'll see the shelf cloud, then watch the rain shafts! You can see why not everyone gets the heavier rains! Too cool to see. I was under that heavy rain shaft inside the storm.
At 1:00 you'll see the sun disappear and clouds build in. Southerly Flow all along.
At 1:10 watch the mothership shelf cloud move across
(that's when it got pitch dark here)
at 1:15 watch the heavy rain shaft move across
at 1:27 watch the clouds reverse direction! Front had passed and we had a NW flow.
Too bad doesn't pick up the lightning which there was a ton of with the storm
