Parade of storms coming...

Count them... Latest GFS12z. 1-2-3-4 Storms. 17th, 21st, 24th, 27th.

1st 2 transfer to coast meaning it goes towards the great lakes than a coastal storm forms and the previous storm transfers energy to the coastal storm. (too far north for snow south of Boston!)

but overall GFS likes a cut to Great Lakes.

For those wondering, a storm track towards the Great lakes is not good for East of the Apps if you want cold and snow. #torch! (or I like to call it, torture)

In fact, look what it has for Christmas Eve (bottom left), storm goes to Great Lakes and a surge of warmth comes up the East side. Red lines showing 850mb temps. +6C in December? That would mean max temps in the upper 40s/low 50s in this area southward. +9C for Mid Atlantic = 50s/60s.
