This should end the debate or thoughts about NOAA's forecast. LOL Look close and compare actual vs their forecast. While you do that, realize they forecast normal to above normal each year for most of country.

Usually oil prices reflect future contracts so usually you can tell what kind of season we might have but with this insane drop it would be implying a warm winter. But I don't think this drop is weather related this year.

So far the real cold air is nowhere near the US border. Probably why they can keep prices low. Not a lot of demand even in northern states yet.
