Yesterday my spouse and I had a conversation on the way to the store. He got a message on his phone and I said “Ok, give me the bad news.”

“Why must news always be bad?” he asked. Why, because there is no such thing as “good news” to me.

I hate news and I hate surprises. When I was young I thought differently, but now any news I consider as a threat to my wellbeing.

They're trying, with questionable success, to slow it down in Lombardy and Milegro (northern Italy), though it may be marching south.
