Apprehending The Race Set Before Us

Posted 09-05-2020 at 11:14 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

"In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul...Though I walk in the midst of trouble, YOU WILL REVIVE ME; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. THE LORD WILL PERFECT THAT WHICH CONCERNS ME..." - Psalm 138:3, 7-8

The word "perfect" is the Hebrew word gâmar, which means to end in the sense of COMPLETION.

God has promised us in His Word to complete...

(Relection Campaign) Unemployment Drops to 8.4% - Fake NYT headline on Subject

Posted 09-05-2020 at 07:58 PM by jbgusa

The New York Times headline reads Job Growth Slackens, Signaling Vulnerability of Recovery (link). The earlier print headline had been "Job Gains shrink, Showing Frailty of US Recovery." The article's opening (online) text reads "Unemployment fell to 8.4% in August, but the gain of 1.4 million jobs was the weakest in months. The end of federal aid programs is casting a shadow." Depression is the deception that comes from seeing the world from your perspective. Truth comes from seeing the world through Jesus' eyes where He sits at the right hand of the Father. Those who abide in His presence...

Albert Finch Ministry - Daily Devotional - September 4, 2020

Posted 09-04-2020 at 05:48 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Colossians 3:2,3 - "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God."

If you think like the world thinks, you will act like the world acts. So control your thoughts bringing them into obedience to the Scriptures. Program your mind with the Word of God.

The Word is spirit and is life. Don't let Satan deceive you into sacrificing the glory of God in your life for a few moments of self-indulgence...

Albert Finch Ministry - Daily Devotional - September 3, 2020

Isaiah 54:2 - “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your ropes and strengthen your stakes."

When you don't think there is more to where you currently are in God's purpose for your life, you become limited. You think this right here -- all I see -- is it. This type of thinking keeps you from exploring and discovering. It keeps you from stretching yourself and dreaming about other possibilities....
