Posted 04-16-2021 at 02:25 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

2 Timothy 1:9, "God...who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began."

The term "holy calling" could also be interpreted "sacred DESTINY." The Lord considers it a sacred thing for us to enter into the divinely ordained function that He has destined for us. The prophet David once said, "Your eyes have seen my unformed...

Red River Is Nothing More Than A Mud Pit

Posted 04-15-2021 at 06:05 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

In the parlance of road trips, there are beautiful swans and there are eyesores. On my recent near-epic trip to Oklahoma, I couldn't help but wince at the sight of the Red River.

That rascal is never filled with water.

All I keep seeing are little bitty puddles of water amidst a big trail of mud. It might as well be called The Red Mud Pile. Never in the history of ever have I seen the Red River completely filled up. At least, I don't...

Knowing Him And Being Filled With Him

Posted 04-14-2021 at 10:34 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Replying as a blog...controversial topic and thread-derailer.

We must all make a moral choice to become involved or not at the scene of a wreck.

I once watched a young man bury his bike under the back end of a van at a motorcycle dealer event. He was behaving irresponsibly. There were probably two hundred others watching. I was minding my bestie's then-young...

Moving And Flowing In The Lord

Posted 04-13-2021 at 11:35 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

What would life look like if we postured ourselves as "victorious ones" and declared WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST into this natural realm?

When we yield our lives before Jesus in prayer, He is then able to activate our calling in Christ and His heart of intercession. Inspired intercession is knowing God's plans and desires and declaring His will until it comes to pass. We can never give up or lose hope. Instead, we stand on His promises and prophesy them into the unseen realm until...
