Posted 12-11-2021 at 12:55 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

"God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts. - Galatians 4:6

We can't let "COASTING" be our default setting in our life with God.

CRUISING (definition: to travel at a speed providing maximum operating efficiency for a sustained period) fits the advancing nature of the Kingdom of God much more than coasting. God made us to live life at "maximum operating efficiency." Jesus called it as having "life, and life abundantly" (John...

Another Night In The Basement

Posted 12-10-2021 at 10:03 PM by aliasfinn

Tornado warnings everywhere. I have a little area down in my basement that I seldom go in.
I have a small 12 inch TV and a battery powered radio down there that I use when the weathermen chase me down there.
I grabbed my smokes and a can of Pringles and sat down there for a couple of hours. I could hear the spiders talking, " What's he doing down here? Must be tornado warnings again."

So far the greatest damage was across the river in Edwardsville where an Amazon...

Pecan Coffee Is Your Writer's Newest Discovery

Posted 12-10-2021 at 07:35 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I have spent many a year just looking for the perfect cup of coffee. Many times, I get good coffee, but seldom do I get great coffee.

Oh, there have been those moments where, out of nowhere, there happens to come a perfect cup of coffee. One place that sticks out is the Grapevine Cafe on South Padre Island. What you are about to read could be the nuttiest idea imaginable.

But before we can do that, a little background, if you please. Recently, I made a trip to Amarillo, and I spent a short time going through the radio dial listening to this and that from their local portals. Well, I came across KZIP-AM (1310) and sampled a little Spanish programming with their La Caliente subject and format. Along the way, when that station did their top-of-the-hour identification,...

I Just Could Not Resist A Good Song.....To Stamp Out Stupid Vax Mandates

Posted 12-10-2021 at 05:15 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Thank goodness that someone decided to do a song in protest of all the ridiculous government overreach we've had from Washington in recent months, and the following link I'm putting in here specifically targets forced vaccine mandates. People everywhere are sick and tired of being sick and tired, and that warrants the venting of feelings through song.

Check this out (You'll find it in the opening seconds of the video...):
