Life in South Central Wisconsin....

Posted 06-17-2008 at 10:55 PM by JoshB

Ahhh the sound of song birds, crickets, coyotes.... The brief winds on a cool June day with blue skies and puffy cumulus clouds. The green pastures where the horses are out rest. The smell of fresh baked goods coming from the Amish bakery. The views from the abundant vistas that surround me. It all seems like a dream but it isn't. This is life in South Central Wisconsin...

This is my first blog, I had to make it interesting.

Sexual Identity + Religion =?

Posted 06-17-2008 at 10:12 PM by Hoosier (The Truth about Homosexuality - according to me)
Updated 06-23-2017 at 08:03 AM by Hoosier (updates)

So much exists in our media today about how it's okay to be gay, and that it's okay to be gay and a Christian. I for one do not agree with that stance and want to reach out to people who are hurting and wondering who they are. There are many men sitting in the church pews who deal with these feelings. I was one of them and I had no one to turn to; no...

My 1st up-close encounter with cedar waxwings has been a sad event...

The other day I was indoors when my son ran in from the backyard and told me to come out quickly. There was a cedar waxwing. On our deck. Not flying away. He looked injured because one wing was spread out, the other tucked under. And there was a tiny puddle of fluid. I think it was a he because he was very colorful.

It's one of the worst things to see, an injured bird... They seem so delicate, and...

My Inquiring Mind...

Posted 06-17-2008 at 08:14 PM by mams1559

... wants to know why others think the way they do. At times I feel like I understand someone and can relate to their point of view. Then something changes and that spark is gone. What has changed, me or them?

Have I offended or caused mis-trust to make them turn from me? Did they reveal their true self to my distaste for me to avoid them? My inquiring mind wants to know.

My inquiring mind wants to know are the bonds forged here true and lasting? Are they more than fair-weather...
