Such terrible images of the devastation left in Iowa after the waters receded..Thousands of homes and belongings destroyed..Thousands and thousands of acres of corn and soy lost..I heard that many of the farmers were under contracts and will also owe for the failed crops..Now I hear that the flooding on down the Missippi will be worse than they expected..
I will continue to keep you folks in my prayers, and do what I can in donations which are being gathered here..

Prayer is...

Lehigh Valley Market Update

Posted 06-22-2008 at 08:41 AM by jeffvivian

I thoughts this would be a good time to start discussing the current housing market in the Lehigh valley. Althought the appearance is that the market is soft - and numbers are starting to resemble a softening -there is a silver lining. It seems the bottom of the marrel is upon us. And all-in-all the market was not as bad as the rest of the nation.

The reason I believe we have hit somewhat of the bottom, is mortgage rates are starting to trend higher. I know this sounds crazy...

Have you ever noticed that when you're pitching in to help each other out, working together, that it's much more fun?

Today we helped a friend move, and I kept thinking, “This doesn’t feel like work. This is fun. I’m in such good company...” We got the job done quickly and our friend was glad he didn't have to make a million trips by himself.

Many of these same friends helped us out earlier when we needed a hand...

I was glad my young son pitched...

Hogans Creek..Blue's Blog

Hogans Creek was a wide, but not so wide a creek that a fairly good swimmer couldn't easily cross it..It flowed clean and gentle and was shaded by age old trees with wild grapevines climbing the trunks and wandering out the limbs big around as my daddys arms, and finally hanging just above the surface of the water. The grapevine made a wonderful swing for three sisters and a brother to see who could swing the highest and the farthest before dropping into the deepest part of the creek.

Looking for 529th MP soldiers in MN

Posted 06-21-2008 at 07:29 PM by landonp4

Hi my name is Melanie Tackett and I was driving down 55 coming home to Hastings, MN (on 21JUN08 at approx 815pm) and I was passed by a man on a motorcycle with a 529th Military Police shirt and ACU pants on and I know the shirt was only given out when I was assigned there at that time (i think in 2002 or so) so I know that I know this person. So my hopes are that someone (or the person riding the cycle) finds this blog and responds. It would be great to see old friends fromt he unit.
