Customer Service...or lack thereof

Hi guys. I have to tell you, something's wrong. Something is really wrong with the way people are doing business with each other. More importantly something is really wrong with the way people are treating each other. In this presentation I am giving 3 examples where I personally have experienced a lack of customer service or just plain out-and-out rudeness and discourteousness. In each of these situations I have tried to tell it exactly like it was, word-for-word. I am not embellishing it just...

One thing that I have thinking of lately is what effects a name has on a city.

Its seems that great cities have great and unique names. But cities that are not great have great names too, if fact many are named after the great cities. But somehow to me these seem unsatisfying, Paris, Texas just doesn't have the same appeal that Paris does. Many American cities are named this way and I dunno, but it strikes me as incredibly lazy. Its like the new was finally making the big time...

Well it seems that I, as well as all members of City-Data Forum, have a blog now. That is very generous of City-Data so I feel obligated by etiquette to do something with it. The fact that I am an attention ***** and will take any opportunity to cheer lead for my home city has nothing to do with it at all. Really. I blog for a very personal reason..my children and grandchildren and their generations whom I will never meet in this current life..

There were secrets in my mom's family, that have never been revealed to us, secrets about why my brother was adopted to my aunt? Secrets making me wonder if he is really my twin, because of the connection we had even though we rarely saw each other while growing up..

My mom was a hard worker who did without everything except the bare necessities...
